Here’s a preview of my review for Silent Hill 2:

If Silent Hill was a home-run, Silent Hill 2 is a grand slam. Silent Hill 2 had big shoes to fill after the work of art the first Silent Hill was, and oh man, did it ever fit the bill. Silent Hill 2  is widely regarded as one of if not the best survival horror game, let alone one of the best games of all time.

Here’s a preview of my review for Street Fighter III: Third Strike: Fight for the Future:

Street Fighter III: Third Strike: Fight for the Future is one of those games that when my friends come over, we can always default to. Many nights were spent playing Third Strike for hours on end, slowly learning each character one by one. When we were at our peak for Third Strike, I was playing with nearly every character, and playing pretty well too! (by my friend’s standards, certainly not on a professional level) It’s just one of those games for us.

Here’s a preview of my review for Portal:

Everybody knows Portal, and for good reason. When Valve made Portal, they had no idea the kind of huge, positive reception they were going to receive. As a matter of fact, that’s why they put it in The Orange Box with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. Portal was just kind of placed in there as an an extra spot, not really anticipating that it would take off like it did. And did it ever, creating a huge fan following and even spurring a sequel.

Here’s a preview of my review for Bioshock:

Bioshock is a title that really grabbed me. It’s got a great presentation, a fast paced and exiting opening, a deep and interesting story, and really good gameplay. For me, Bioshock is a really hard game to put down. It’s just a great game.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly/Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly (BGE) — February 24, 2016

Here’s a preview of my review for Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly/Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly:

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly (Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly in Europe) is widely considered to be the best of the Fatal Frame series. I beat Fatal Frame and Fatal Frame II many times over, to see the additional endings and get the extra costumes, however, somewhere between 6 and 8 hours in to my first playthrough of Fatal Frame III: The Tormented, my PS2 memory card died. The same memory card that had my all of my Fatal Frame trilogy data on it. I’ve been too heartbroken to go back to Fatal Frame III: The Tormented, but of what I’ve played, I would agree that Fatal Frame II is the best of the series.

Garou: Mark of the Wolves/Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves (BGE) — February 11, 2016

Here’s a preview:

“Certainly, they existed. Those blinded by ambition. Those consumed with vengeance. But here, they do not exist. Only winners and losers here. For here, the mighty rule!” Garou: Mark of the Wolves is my friend’s and mine main go-to fighter, right next to Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future. The reason? It’s simple, balanced, fun, and has plenty of cool characters. Also, I own a stand up Neo Geo MVS cabinet, so there is no better way to play a fighter than shoulder to shoulder, in my opinion.

Mirror’s Edge (BGE) — February 9, 2016

Here’s a preview:

Mirror’s Edge was one of those games that I downloaded the demo for and instantly fell in love. As a matter of fact, I played the demo over and over again, until I knew that first stage practically by heart. During the time that Mirror’s Edge was coming out was around the time I was just getting into parkour, and so this game really clicked for me. Not only that, but the ending theme is awfully beautiful.

Fatal Frame/Project Zero (BGE) — February 5, 2016

Fatal Frame/Project Zero (BGE)

My Fatal Frame review for the Best Games Ever list is now live! You can read it from the Best Games Ever list, or by clicking here.

Here’s a preview:

Fatal Frame (Project Zero in EU) is a cult-classic that takes the survival horror genre and adds a unique twist. In Fatal Frame, you won’t be shooting zombies or bashing creatures. Instead, you’ll be taking pictures of spirits with the Camera Obscura, a unique camera with the ability to capture the soul of the spirit you’ve taken the picture of. The exploration takes place in third person, but combat will always take place in first person while looking through the view finder of the Camera Obscura.
